Being a social and service based fraternity, the brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi like to engage in service opportunities throughout the year. Stampede of service is a campus wide service event, where different organizations come together and have a day of service to help give back to the community. Brothers and other members of the Greek community do this every year. With activities ranging from roadside clean ups, to serving food at shelters and helping clean up parks. Another service event that we participate in is relay for life. Even though it is not one of our main philanthropies, we still show support and participate in it to show support for all those who battle cancer on a daily basis and to help find a cure. Aside from service we also throw events that help raise money for our philanthropies. Each semester we host an event called “Pie-A-Delta” on campus at our Bulls Market, where students, faculty and other members of the Greek community pay $1 to pie a brother of Delta Epsilon Psi. All proceeds of this event go to JDRF. Another event that we throw to help raise money for JDRF is called “Drench a Delta”. Students and faculty come out and pay $1 to purchase water balloons to throw at brothers and like our “Pie a Delta” event, all proceeds go to JDRF. When we are not throwing these events, we sell JDRF bands for $2 each to also help raise money for JDRF. Jason Chen of our Xi Class brought up this idea and he helped design the bands. Another event we host every semester is a bone marrow drive. We set up a tent somewhere on campus and help find students who are willing to register for the cause and possibly helping save a life.
